CAF U-20: Fatawu grabs Best Player Award

Ghana’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was named the best player of the tournament following his wonderful performance at the 2021 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Technical Study Group (TSG) noticed Fatawu’s spectacular performances where he backed 2 goals and was very effective towards the ultimate triumph of the lads from Ghana.

Therefore emerging as the best player didn’t come as a surprise to many who spotted Fatawu as one of the brightest spots in Team Ghana.

“I feel delighted and privileged to win this award, but more so happy that as a team we won the trophy for the Ghanaian people. This is a motivation for us to keep working and hopefully we can take new and bigger steps in our careers,” Isahaku stated, expressing his delight for winning the Golden Ball.

Together with Ghana’s goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim who won the Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper), Fatawu also made it to the best eleven of the tournament.
