Churches, mosques and other places of worship can resume worship from June 5, President Akufo-Addo has announced as part of easing Covid-19 restrictions.

In his 10th address to the nation as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, the president urged the leaders of these bodies to ensure their members adhere to proper social distancing protocols during worship.

“An abridged format for religious services can commence. Twenty-five per cent attendance, with a maximum number of 100 congregants, can worship at a time in church or at the mosque, with a mandatory one meter rule of social distancing between congregants,”

Veronica buckets are also to be provided for congregants to wash their hands and hand sanitizers also provided whiles masks are also to be worn by all worshipers.

However, Services cannot exceed one hour, the president added.
