Ghana Division One football club Phar Rangers has pulled out from all Ghana Football Association competitions including the ongoing Division One League and the MTN FA Cup.
In a press release signed by Hamid Saaka, the Management and Directors of the Akuapem-Mampong based club said the shocking decision is “with immediate effect.”
The letter, sighted by Africa Articles, and dated Monday June 7, 2021 also emphasized that the club has been dissolved.
“Consider the Club defunct from henceforth.” The statement revealed.
It is however unclear the club’s reasons for their shocking decision.
Until their resolution, PHAR Rangers was owned by the current Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Mr. Amponsah contested in the 2019 GFA Presidential election and lost to Mr. Kurt Okraku, the current president of the Ghana Football Association.
