Election 2020: Stonebwoy calls for peace in Ashaiman

Reggae dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known by the stage name Stonebwoy, has called on the people of Ashaiman to keep the peace that exists in the community.

His clarion call comes on the back of a protest organized by some irate supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are Ashaiman residents.

The protesters who were registering their displeasure over the outcome of the 2020 general elections on Sunday December 13, blocked roads and burnt car tyres on the streets.

It took the intervention of the personnel of Ghana National Fire Service to douse the fire and bring calm.

Stonebwoy reacted to the incident through a tweet and asked “his people” to keep the peace in the community:

The musician who grew up in Ashaiman had prior to the Dec 7 polls organized a peace walk in the community to draw the attention of residents to the need to be peaceful before, during and after the elections.
