A former Transport Minister and member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dzifa Aku Attivor, has died at age 65.
Reports indicate that Madam Attivor died at the University of Ghana Medical Center on Tuesday, November 16.
According to Starr FM, close sources confirmed her ill-health to John Mahama and his 2020 Running-mate, Jane Nana Opoku-Agyemang and other party leaders who visited her before her demise.
Her aide and top NDC members in the Volta region confirmed the sad news.
President John Mahama appointed her in February 2013 after the December 2012 general election.
She served as Minister for Transport in Ghana until her resignation in December 2015 as a result of a controversial bus re-branding contract.
