Let’s put politics aside and patronise Ibrahim Mahama’s Dzata Cement – Kennedy Agyapong

Member of parliament for Assin Central constituency has called on all Ghanaians to start to buy made-in-Ghana Dzata Cement.

Dzata Cement is a fully owned Ghanaian building adhesive manufacturing company by Businessman Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former Ghana president John Dramani Mahama.

According to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Mr. Mahama needs to be supported to grow since his cement is the only brand that is currently Ghanaian owned.

The 60-year-old lawmaker and businessman, yesterday, praised Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and canvassed for support for Dzata cement when he was on a programme on Net2 Television.

“We need to commend Ibrahim Mahama. He’s the one who has brought Dzata cement, the only Ghanaian-owned cement manufacturing company. Because, when you look at all the cement factories we have around, none of them is Ghanaian owned. ” the firebrand legislator emphasized.

Mr. Agyapong stated that henceforth he was going to purchase Dzata cement for all his construction projects because the owner is Ghanaian.

“From today, I’m going to instruct [those handling] my construction; they should all go and buy Dzata cement. Yes, because he’s a Ghanaian.

“Let’s put the politics aside and encourage, motivate Ghanaians who have big dreams. He has brought Dzata cement, forget that he’s NDC or NPP. He’s a Ghanaian.”

The minister Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen, also commended Ibrahim Mahama for investing in the cement industry when he visited the factory on Monday, May 10th, 2021.

“That is why l think this particular investment should pave the way for investments in industries which otherwise have been dominated only by foreign companies,” he said.

The over $100 million investment is located on a 10-acre land near the Tema Port.

According to reports, Dzata cement is set to hit the market soon.
