Mahama’s review application dismissed by Supreme Court

Former President John Dramani Mahama’s review application has been unanimously dismissed by the Supreme Court.

The review application filed by lawyers of Mr Mahama sought to ask the apex court to review it’s decision that disallowed the use of interrogatories to seek 12 answers from the Electoral Commission (EC) in the ongoing 2020 election petition.

On Thursday January 28, the Court ruled that the applicant did not meet the threshold to apply for a review, hence the dismissal of the application.

The seven-member panel was enhanced with the addition of Justice Imoro Tanko and Justice Henrietta Mensah Bonsu for the review application.
