A teenager got the nation of Uganda – The Pearl of Africa – talking and singing his praises when he scored a spectacular goal for his club on Tuesday.
Alpha Thierry Ssali’s 86th minute strike turned out to be the icing on the cake for Proline FC as they saw off Myda FC comfortably, beating the latter 4-1 in the first leg round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Omondi Stadium, Kampala.
The 17-year-old picked up a pass on the edge of the opposition penalty box and skilfully dribbled his way past two Myda defenders, nutmegging the second effortlessly before blasting the ball into left side of the net, beating the Myda FC goalkeeper to score Proline’s fourth goal on the day.
The Uganda U20 forward ran across the pitch to the touchline where his celebrity father, Bebe Cool, was standing to celebrate what is reportedly his debut Proline FC goal with a tight hug.
An elated Bebe Cool wrote on social media to express his joy.
“Proud Father ❤️”
“Alpha Thierry Ssali magnificently scores his first goal for Proline Football Club. I’m proud of you my boy. Thank you Allah.” said the award-winning singer and Gagamel Entertainment founder.
One Ugandan football fan described Ssali’s goal as “Probably the best goal I have seen on Ugandan soil.”
Another wrote, “Everyone needs a father like Bebe🤛🤛”.
Many supporters also applauded the Artist for his constant belief and support for his little boy’s dream.
