Owusu-Bempah faces new charges in court

Rev Owusu-Bempah together with one Mensah Ofori and Berchie have pleaded not guilty to four new charges in court today, Tuesday October 5.

The prosecution in court led by Detective Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey withdrew the previous charge sheet where six people were charged.

The new charge concerns the threat to kill Patricia Oduro Koranteng, known popularly as Nana Agradaa.

The court presided over by Judge Afia Owusua Appiah granted them bail after their lawyers led by Gary Nomako Marfo moved bail for them, a request which was not opposed by the prosecution.

While Owusu-Bempah was granted a GH¢100,000 self-recognizance bail, Michael Ofori and Berchie were granted 100,000 with two sureties to be justified.

The accused persons are required to handover their passports to the registrar of the court and none can travel outside the country without court permission.

The case has been adjourned to November 10, 2021 for Case Management Conference.
