The 28 year old nine-month pregnant woman who was reported missing in Takoradi a few days ago has been found.
According to reports gathered by Africa Articles, Josephine Panyin Mensah was found in Axim and immediately sent to the Axim Government Hospital for medical care.
Her husband, Michael Simmons, reported to the police on Friday, September 17 after a search for her the previous day proved futile.
According to sources close to the family, Josephine left home Thursday dawn for a routine walk but never returned.
The complainant, her husband, informed the police his mother-in-law later had a call from an unknown person demanding a ransom, which fuelled rumours of another kidnapping case in Takoradi.
The police immediately began searching for the pregnant woman.
Josephine’s brother-in-law told Takoradi-based Connect FM’s Paa Kwesi Simpson that the family received a call Tuesday morning that she has been spotted in Axim and they followed up to find her alive.
Alex Essien narrated they went to her rescue without any police officers but later informed them about the development.
She is currently cannot speak and only responds to written communication, according to report.
